At 31 I had a good job, a rented flat and almost enough money in the bank for a deposit on a house, so long as I didn’t want to live anywhere I actually wanted to live. Everything was on course to hit the typical life goals: save up and buy a house, get married, have kids etc.
At 32 I was self-employed, living in a bamboo beach house and travelling my way the world with my girlfriend. And now, 10 months on, I can honestly say that this was the best decision I ever made.
People always tell us that they are jealous of our lifestyle or that they wish they could travel like us. My advice? Simple.
Quit. Pack. Go.
